It's been over 25 years since Josh caught his first glimpse into the underground world of tattoos, graffiti, skateboarding, and punk rock, all buried in the pages of Thrasher and Transworld skateboard and snowboard magazines.

Josh lives and works in Rossland BC, while spending a large part of his summer on the road in his 78 Ford Econoline attending tattoo and bike rallies across BC. As of October 2022, Kickstart Customs is based out of the old Rossland snowmobile shop, where you can find Josh hunkered down and working on paint projects from small and medium signs to motorbikes and more.
Skateboarding and snowboarding continue to act as inspiration for his artwork, alongside custom motorcycles, choppers, old vans and rock'n roll, which have all helped in establishing a broad range of markets for his hand lettering and illustrative work.
